Our Values

WE VALUE…
THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word.  God’s Word is our authority for life and ministry.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV
PRAYER
Praying according to God’s will reveals our dependence upon Him.
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. – 1 John 5:14, ESV

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.  Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. – Matthew 6:9-13, ESV
RELATIONSHIPS
A RIGHT relationship with God produces RIGHT relationships with others.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. – Mark 12:30, ESV

The second is this: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. – Mark 12:31, ESV
SERVING
Christ’s love compels us to use our gifts to bless others in practical ways.
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.  Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.  As each has received a gift, us it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies – in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.  To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.  Amen. – 1 Peter 4:8-11, ESV
EVANGELISM
A heart after God’s heart reaches out to the lost with the gospel, and helps them to follow Jesus and grow.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20, ESV
FAMILY
God has created the family as the natural means for training children in righteousness.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. – Deuteronomy 6:5-9, ESV
